Over the weekend, Lando Norris basked in the glory of his Miami Grand Prix triumph alongside renowned sports icons at the American Express Carbone Beach party. Leading McLaren to its first United States victory since 2012 by fending off Max Verstappen in the pivotal race, Norris enjoyed more than just a historic win. His “good” weekend also entailed rubbing shoulders with some of the most prominent figures in sports and other high-profile celebrities.
Super Bowl victors Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes from the Kansas City Chiefs joined the revelry at Carbone Beach. Also in attendance were Miami Dolphins standout Tyreek Hill and Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow, adding to the star-studded guest list.
NBA legends LeBron James and Kevin Durant made their presence felt at the gathering. Additionally, basketball luminaries such as Draymond Green and Miami Heat’s Jimmy Butler, Jaime Jaquez Jr., Kevin Love, and Duncan Robinson were among the distinguished guests who adorned the occasion.
The Carbone Beach Party, highlighted by electrifying performances from Flo Rida and Pitbull, continued throughout the weekend, attracting an array of high-profile guests including Ivanka Trump and Elon Musk.
Amidst the celebrations, Norris shared a moment with renowned chef-restaurateur Mario Carbone following his victorious performance on Sunday.
The victory gave Norris his first win after 110 entries and 16 podium finishes. His first entry came in the 2019 Australian Grand Prix.
After a thrilling race, Norris reflected on the challenges he and his team faced and expressed gratitude towards his parents for their support following his maiden victory.
“The entire weekend has been fantastic,” Norris remarked. “Sure, we encountered a few hurdles along the journey, made some minor errors here and there. However, I knew from Friday that we possessed the pace. Today, we executed flawlessly, found the optimal strategy, and it all culminated in success.
