Although Manchester United is expected to be the underdog in the FA Cup final, goalkeeper André Onana doesn’t believe that.
With the coveted trophy on the line, the Red Devils take on Manchester City, the defending Premier League champions, on Saturday. The hot-headed City team will undoubtedly be confident as they attempt to add another piece of hardware to their collection.
Onana, though, thinks United should approach the game as a fresh start regardless of City’s performance; otherwise, the Red Devils will be outmatched.
Speaking on The Overlap, which is presented by Sky Bet, Onana advised his team to approach the game with the appropriate mindset.
“It’s a very important game for us, especially as you are in the final and people only remember the winner,” Onana stated.
“As Manchester United, we are going there to win. It would be best not to enter the field if we went with the mindset that we would lose.
“We have good players with a lot of personality and experience; we’re there to win.”
