In the 0-1 defeat to Rosenborg in the first friendly match of the season, Man Utd were missing many important positions.

One of them is Harry Maguire. This center-back is injured and will miss EURO 2024.

However, Maguire is recovering quickly and could be back soon.

Man Utd’s homepage posted the latest images showing Maguire gradually regaining his best form.

Man Utd announced: “Maguire is getting closer to returning from ιnjury. The player is stepping up his rehabilitation programme at Carrington.”

“Maguire is training privately at Carrington as part of his recovery plan,” Man Utd added.

Maguire and Tyrell Malacia’s upcoming return is a positive sign for Man Utd. Last season, the Red Devils faced a serious personnel crisis in defense.

Maguire last played for the Red Devils in the 1-1 Premier League draw with Burnley at the end of April. He then suffered a muscle ιnjury.

The problem ruled him out for the rest of the season, including the memorable FA Cup final victory over Manchester City.Next season, Maguire will have to work harder as Man Utd are preparing to add two new central defenders.
