Rating Man Utd against Rosenborg: Only 9 points, Casemiro is pale

Only one Manchester United player really made an impression in the pre-season defeat to Rosenborg.

Radek Vitek: 9

A great performance, making a series of good saves, notably denying Sunde. He was also good with the ball at his feet.

Vitek is the bright spot of Man Utd.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka: 5

Very few opportunities to аttаck. Often falls back to defend.

Will Fish: 6

Rosenborg were аggressive in the first half, with Fish doing his best to stop the home team’s trio from attacking.

Jonny Evans: 6

Skilled on the ball and solid defensively in his first appearance since signing a new contract.

Sam Murray: 5

Losing the ball gave Rosenborg an early goal-scoring chance and struggled to contain Marius Broholm.

Casemiro: 5

Pressured by Nemcik from the start, Casemiro was then robbed of the ball on the edge of his own penalty area. A slow start for the Brazilian.

Mason Mount: 7

A promising start to pre-season. He was dynamic with and without the ball. Mount set up Wheatley with a sharp pass.

Hannibal: 6

His quick feet twice lured Rosenborg players into fouls, but he did not show much when holding the ball behind the striker.

Ethan Williams: 5

Struggled to get going, Man Utd rarely created much attacking threаt and failed to get the ball down the right flank.

Marcus Rashford: 6

Rashford once handled the ball out of the box and created an impressive moment of technique. However, the number 10 was silent because the Red Devils’ аttаck was ineffective.

Ethan Wheatley: 7

Had a great turn to find space to move. Tried to link up play and got into a good position to get a shot that forced Tangvik into a save.

Habeeb Ogunneye: 7

Defended well in the second half and Rosenborg had few forays down his flank.

Sonny Aljofree: 7

Keep the ball firmly and defend firmly under pressure.

Rhys Bennett: 6

Having trouble keeping up with Rosenborg’s attacks.

Harry Amass: 7

Seemed confident on the ball but struggled when Rosenborg dominated on the wing. He made up for it by attacking frequently on the right flank.

Toby Collyer: 8

Was given the captain’s armband and produced excellent performances in midfield.

Mаxi Oyedele: 6

Playing aggressively in the second half, but Man Utd could not hold the ball much.

Jack Fletcher: 6

Tried hard to put pressure on but didn’t have much possession.

Ten Hag gives young stars a chance.

Ethan Ennis: 7

Force the goalkeeper to make smart saves and play aggressively.

James Scanlon: 7

There was a quick dribble that caused pаnic in the Rosenborg defence. He looked like a threаt to the home team.

Joe Hugil: 6

No clear opportunities were given.
