Shams Charania of The Athletic reports that Tatum intends to sign a $314 million contract with the Celtics. This deal with the All-NBA forward will last through the 2029–2030 campaign. As of right now, it will be the biggest contract ever signed by an individual in league history.

This NBA Free Agency extension is so outrageous that it surpasses the $304 million contract signed by Jaylen Brown, which was thought to be the most at the time. The Celtics fans went completely crazy on the internet thanks to this effort by Brad Stevens and the management administration. There were a wide range of responses, from enthusiastic applause to people who were in complete shock.

For most fans, Jayson Tatum’s big deal is incomprehensible.

Tatum, though, has already made a significant contribution to the Celtics. Five All-Star selections and four All-NBA selections have already been made of him. His prime is almost upon us, thus his playmaking and scoring abilities will only become better.
