According to reports, Marcus Rashford is “open” to moving to Paris Saint-Germain this summer, leaving Manchester United behind.
The England international played in 33 Premier League games last season, but had a difficult season with the Red Devils, managing just two assists and seven goals.
Erik ten Hag stuck with his No. 10 for the whole season despite requests for younger players, including Amad Diallo, to take Rashford’s place on the left wing due to his underwhelming performances.
Despite PSG’s interest, the 26-year-old might decide not to move from Old Trafford in order to return his manager’s faith.
The forward is “open” to playing at the Parc des Princes this summer. HITC reports that the Ligue 1 team is set to rekindle their interest in Rashford as they seek to acquire appropriate alternatives for Kylian Mbappe prior to the upcoming campaign.
After being shocked by how the forward’s play collapsed last season, United is ready to let go of their academy product in the upcoming months. The forward’s off-field antics are also being brought up as a persistent problem.
PSG and Saudi Pro League teams have been informed of the situation as a result, although Rashford is more interested in moving to Paris than in traveling to the Middle East.
The higher authorities at the club are now holding off on making an offer in order to ensure that the groundwork is set for an agreement to be achieved. As a result, Luis Enrique’s team has not yet opened negotiations over a deal.
The Red Devils have not yet disclosed the price they would expect for Rashford, but considering that INEOS CEO Jamie Inescap is eager to lead his own reconstruction, Sir Jim Ratcliffe might be willing to broker a deal for one of his team’s top paid players.
A central defender is thought to be a top priority at the Theatre of Dreams as United looks to improve their ranks at both ends of the field in preparation for the upcoming campaign.
Additionally, Ten Hag has stated emphatically that he wants to sign a striker who can challenge Rasmus Hojlund for the No. 9 position in his starting lineup.
