According to The Times, West Ham United has rekindled their interest in acquiring Aaron Wan-Bissaka, the right-back for Manchester United, this summer.
With United, the 26-year-old is under contract through the summer of 2025. It appears that the hierarchy has no intention of extending his stay.
It has been stated that the Hammers are interested in hiring him since he is reportedly considered surplus to requirements at Old Trafford.
Wan-Bissaka is probably leaving UnitedThe 26-year-old paid £50 million to go from Crystal Palace to United five years ago. His ability to make critical tackles and his one-on-one defense have been excellent. Last term, he made thirty appearances.
Erik ten Hag, the manager, has higher expectations for his right-back, though. Someone who can contribute to goals and regularly overlap runs is preferred by the Dutch strategist.
This is the main explanation behind his fondness for Diogo Dalot. Amidst the left-back injury crisis towards the conclusion of the previous season, Dalot and Wan-Bissaka both started, but Dalot is the starter.
We believe that Wan-Bissaka will likely be sold by United for a fair price, allowing them to purchase an attacking right-back. They are keeping an eye on Jeremie Frimpong of Bayer Leverkusen.
The star player from the Netherlands had an incredible 2023–24 season, tallying 14 goals and 12 assists in 47 games. He was a right wing-back for the German champions most of the time.
United is still quite interested in signing him, though. The former Celtic player has a £34 million release clause in his Leverkusen contract, which might make him available for a low price.
