Luka Modrić had a hard time coping with Croatia’s big setback in the 2nd round of the European Championship, as a draw with Albania further distanced them from the knockout stage.
The Vatreni lost the victory a minute before the end and the match ended with a score of 2:2, and Modrić was in despair after the match.
He sat down on the turf, clutching his head and seemed to be on the verge of tears, and the Albanians consoled him after they celebrated the point.
By the way, Albania led at halftime with a 1:0 goal by Lazio, Croatia created a turnaround with two quick goals (Kramarić and an own goal by Gjasula) fifteen minutes before the end, and then Albania saved itself from defeat in the 95th minute through Gjasula.
Croatia are now bottom of Group B and will need a win against Italy on Monday to hope to progress to the round of 16.
