Talking to GIVEMESPORT, journalist Ben Jacobs gave an update on a potential deal by Manchester United.

As revealed by Ben Jacobs, Manchester United is currently targeting a few strikers with experience playing in the Premier League, and Ivan Toney is one of them. However, they only plan to recruit Toney in case Brentford accepts a lower price.

Toney is linked with many big clubs.

“I think Manchester United appreciates Toney, but will only seriously consider a transfer – with the salary that Toney expects, if the transfer fee is significantly reduced.”

“Thomas Frank has said publicly, at least half seriously, that Toney is a player worth £100m . But because in another year, Toney can join the free players, that fee is not a number that interested teams think is reasonable to recruit him.
