Man Utd star Eriksen shined, EURO witnessed its first surprise

Although the Man Utd midfielder had an impressive performance, that was still not enough to help him and his teammates win.

EURO Group C opens with a cоnfrоntatiоn between two famous teams Slovenia and Denmark. The two teams clashed right from the qualifying round and continued to become opponents in the EURO group stage matches.

With a more highly rated squad, Denmark played proactively right after the opening whistle.

It only took them 17 minutes to find the goal to break the deadlock. After a situation where Benjamin Sesko threatened Kasper Schmeichel’s goal, the “lead soldiers” immediately had an answer.

Veteran Christian Eriksen was the one who put his nаme on the scoreboard, marking his return after the incident at EURO 3 years ago.

In the following minutes, Denmark was still the more proactive team. They even had a good opportunity to widen the gap with their opponents, but the lack of precision in the final shots made that scenario impossible.

Rasmus Hojlund seemed to have scored his first goal at EURO. But the fierceness of the Slovenian defenders prevented the dream of the striker playing for Manchester United.

As the final minutes of the match approached, Slovenia played more determinedly. Coach Matjaz Kek introduced adjustments to the attacking front, thanks to which they began to put pressure on the Danish goal.

Striker Sesko played with great effort.

And after RB Leipzig’s striker brought in a corner kιck, Erik Janza helped Slovenia equalize the score with a left-handed shot from outside the penalty area.

The goal in the 77th minute helped Slovenia get 1 point after the opening match. They are raising hope of continuing, while Denmark will not be able to help but regret after a series of opportunities that they could not take advantage of.
