Monday night is a mission night for the Boston Celtics. Their goal is to defeat the Indiana Pacers in Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals in order to accomplish an amazing 4-0 sweep.

Jayson Tatum, on the other hand, is hoping to reach the summit this season after previously making it to the NBA Finals. The Celtics can still win and go to greatness right now.

The Boston Celtics star did so by surpassing the legendary LeBron James in the record for the most points scored by a player 26 years of age or younger in the NBA Playoffs (h/t ClutchPoints on X, formerly Twitter): 

That’s impressive right now. It’s also appropriate that Kobe Bryant, another legend of the Los Angeles Lakers, holds the new record that Tatum is currently pursuing.

 Tatum is still around a hundred points short of Kobe’s record right now, but if he continues to play at this level, the Celtics star may surpass Bryant’s record this season. Tatum will also have his final opportunity to do so because he will be 27 years old when the playoffs begin the following season.
