After splitting from manager Jurgen Klopp, the Merseyside team is starting a new chapter in their history. After Klopp steps down, Arne Slot vows to start a revolution.

Both Nunez and Diaz have been connected to Barcelona, and Salah may be the target of Saudi Arabian teams following his summertime acceptance of a large offer from Al-Ittihad.

In the midst of the hunt for new players, Marca claims that Liverpool is leading Barca in the competition for Leipzig’s Olmo. It is said that Liverpool is better than Barcelona because of worries about the Financial Fairness Act of the Catalan team. Barca will therefore struggle to raise the necessary €60 million, or roughly £51 million, to satisfy Olmo’s release clause.

Liverpool’s release clause only has until July 15th, so they still need to move quickly if they want to finalize the transaction. Following his January 2020 transfer from Dinamo Zagreb to Leipzig, the Spaniard has made a name for himself as a vital member of the team. Olmo played 148 games for the Bundesliga team over the course of four and a half years, tallying 29 goals and dishing out 34 assists.

Despite his several ailments throughout the 2023–24 season, Olmo managed to record 8 goals and 5 assists in 25 appearances. Although Olmo’s contract with Leipzig expires in June 2027, he is still open to the idea of moving on.
