Curtis Jones may have a busy summer ahead of him as he prepares to play in his first senior international competition. It would bring the Liverpool midfielder’s historic past few weeks to a close.

Jones has been included in the England 2024 tentative squad. In total, four Reds players have been picked by Gareth Southgate: Trent Alexander-Arnold, Joe Gomez, and Jarell Quansah have all been called up for the first time, joining him in a 33-man group.

Harvey Elliott, despite having a fantastic season, is not welcome. He is 21 years old. Still, Jones is hoping to make his Three Lions debut this summer and get on the aircraft to Germany.

The 23-year-old played a key role in the England U21 team’s victory in Georgia during the European Championship last summer. He now earns his first call-up to the senior squad after making 36 appearances for Liverpool this season.

Before the competition, Southgate will reduce his roster to 26 players, thus Jones’ spot is not yet certain. If he manages to travel to Germany, though, his partner will probably be present to witness his performance.

Jones and Saffie Khan have been together for a while, and they recently revealed that they are expecting their first child together. They revealed the news in a heartfelt Instagram picture that captured Saffie telling Jones the wonderful news.

This summer, Jones hopes to travel to Germany with his new family. But whether or not he makes the final team, he can almost likely count on additional opportunities with England down the road.
