Diogo Dalot – 8/10
Got forward with purpose, often playing in the midfield to keep things ticking. Efficient at defending and ventured far ahead to score the opening against Brighton. Was lucky to not get booked for halting Simon Adingra.
Alejandro Garnacho – 7/10
Deserved a goal for his hard work off the ball; he was Man United’s most threatening forward for a good majority of the game. Had Brighton defenders wary of his presence.
Lisandro Martinez – 6/10
A decent return to the starting XI ahead of the FA Cup final with Man City. His replacement was planned in the 59th minute to help conserve his fitness.
Sofyan Amrabat – 4/10
His passes were all over the place and was unusually slow on the ball. Gave up possession cheaply in midfield, allowing Brighton to get the upper hand.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka – 4/10
Almost allowed Brighton to score by failing to mark Barco. A dismal outing from the full-back, who also failed to add much while going forward.
The rest: Bruno – 6, McTominay – 5, Amad – 6, Mainoo – 6, Casemiro – 7, Onana – 6.
Evans – 5, Hojlund – 9, Varane – 5, Rashford – N/A, Eriksen – N/A.
