Croatian football player, Luka Modrić has agreed on all the details regarding the extension of the contract with Real Madrid and it should be put on paper in the next few days, according to the world media.
Once officially the best player on the planet, the valid contract with the Champions League finalist expires at the end of the current season, there was a lot of speculation whether he will stay at the club or continue his career in Saudi Arabia, but now all the speculations have come to an end.
The Spanish media claim that the agreement has definitely been reached and that the footballer, who will turn 39 in September, will extend his contract for another year in the next few days.
Modrić came to “Santiago Berbnabe” back in 2012, and in the opinion of the fans, he is the third best footballer who arrived at this Spanish club in this century. The first is Cristiano Ronaldo, and the second is the German Toni Kroos.
Also, it is mentioned that the Croatian international player never had a problem with the salary, but just wanted to stay in the team and help it in the next year.
Certain media on the Iberian Peninsula even mention that the aforementioned agreement also implies that Modrr will remain at the club in one of the management positions after the end of an additional 12 months, or at least be some kind of ambassador of the club around the world.
