HE LOVE MAN UTD: Fans spot David de Gea training in Man United gear as his search for a new club continues after 10 months after Erik ten Hag let him leave Old Trafford

On Thursday afternoon, David de Gea tweeted a video of himself remaining sharp in his old Manchester United training gear.

The former Manchester United star was working on shot-stopping and reflexes exercises with three instructors.

De Gea, 33, was dismissed by United in July and replaced by Andre Onana after 12 seasons as the club’s first choice goalkeeper.

He has been a free agent all season, but has pledged to return and recently tweeted from Altrincham’s training field, saying: ‘I’ll be back.

In another video, which showed him practicing catching exercises, shot-stopping, and claiming crosses, De Gea wrote: ‘We remember. We reconstruct. We come back stronger.

He is maintaining his conditioning while he hunts for a new club ten months after leaving Manchester United. The two-time Golden Glove winner had apparently decided to remain in Spain and wait for a LaLiga offer early this year, but his return to England implies a more open attitude.

According to Mail Sport, Newcastle were interested in him owing to Nick Pope’s long-term ιnjury, but he would have had to accept a salary drop.

His last agreement at United paid him £375,000 per week.

He preserved 17 clean sheets in his last season, three more than his closest competition, but there was no settlement to a contract dispute.

The Spaniard won five major titles with United, including the Premier League in 2013, and was voted club player of the year.

However, he was dismissed, and the club allegedly upgraded Marcus Rashford to De Gea’s pay level.

His successor, Onana, who joined from Inter Milan for £47 million, acknowledged he questioned his choice to join.

‘It was incredibly hard,’ he told MUTV. ‘But it’s the first time I’ve encountered such a circumstance.’
