Steph Curry and his wife Ayesha have renewed their vows after ten years of marriage.
The NBA player, 33, surprised his love with a romantic backyard wedding performed by their nine-year-old daughter Riley.
Steph and Ayesha’s commitment to love comes just weeks after the Golden State Warrior’s mother filed for divorce from husband Dell after 32 years together.
Ayesha was pleased by Steph’s surprise and shared a lovely snapshot of the couple saying ‘I do’ for the second time.
‘A couple of weeks ago, @stephencurry30 surprised me with the most amazing vow renewal ceremony,’ she said of the photo, which showed the couple standing in front of a stunning white flower arch.
‘He even chose out my dress for me and had it ready,’ she said of her long-sleeved lace outfit.
The couple first married on July 30th, 2011, two years after Steph was chosen by the NBA.
They met at church in Charlotte, North Carolina when they were 14 and 15, but did not start dating until years later.
The old pals reconnected while Ayesha was pursuing her acting career in Hollywood and Stephen was in town for an awards ceremony.
Soon after, Ayesha returned to Charlotte to be closer to Steph, who was playing basketball at neighboring Davidson College.
They currently have three children and live in Atherton, California, not far from where Curry plays for the Warriors at San Francisco’s Chase Center.
Though the younger Curry looks happy and in love, the same cannot be said about his parents, Sonya and Dell.
On June 14th, Sonya, 55, filed for dissolution of marriage in a North Carolina court.
In a joint statement to People last month, the couple stated that ‘after exploring a trial separation over the past year and much deliberate contemplation, we have chosen to end our marriage.’
‘Although this brings a tremendous deal of pain, our focus and goal is for our family’s continuous happiness,’ the statement read. ‘We are extremely grateful for all of the gifts and triumphs!
‘We are dedicated to and supportive of our children and grandchildren, and we will continue on connected pathways. We ask that our privacy be maintained, and that you pray for our family as we move forward.’
