Cheers to Klopp: Carlsberg and Erdinger Unveil ‘Believers Brew’ Limited-Edition Beer

Carlsberg, the official beer of Liverpool FC, has teamed up with Erdinger Weissbräu to introduce a unique brew in honor of Jürgen Klopp’s rule.

Made in honor of the outgoing manager, the “Believers Brew” is a 75cl limited edition beer with an 8% ABV that is made with an equal portion of the standout ingredients from each beer brand.

This indicates that in the two-stage brewing process, the beer is made with 50% trademark wheat malt from Erdinger and 50% signature pilsner malt from Carlsberg. Furthermore, a particular amount of rare Red Barley is used in this exceptional brew.

A total of 491 bottles of “Believers Brew”—one for each competitive match that Klopp oversaw as Reds manager—will ever be produced and distributed.

Carlsberg will auction off each bottle, with all proceeds going to the LFC Foundation to support programs exclusively for adults over the age of 18. The worldwide online auction site Graham Budd will host the auction on May 16th, with a £5 starting bid.

The moniker “Believers Brew” was inspired by Klopp’s remarks during the Reds’ inaugural news conference, in which he discussed the necessity of converting “doubters to believers.”
