According to Spanish media, the deal for Kylian Mbappe to join Real Madrid is likely to be completed after this season’s Champions League final.
Currently, Sky Sports revealed that Real has no official announcement date for the Mbappe deal. Los Blancos leaders want to give respect to the players on the team, thereby aiming for victory in the Champions League final.
Mbappe can choose shirt number 9.
The La Liga giant can announce the Mbappe deal after the final on June 2, no later than June 7.
At this time, it is difficult for Mbappe to wear the number 7 shirt at the Bernabeu Stadium because it is owned by Vinicius Junior. A likely replacement for Mbappe is the number 10 shirt he often wears for France.
This shirt is currently owned by Luka Modric. If Modric leaves, it is clear that Mbappe will become Real Madrid’s new number 10.
However, if Modric stays, AS confirms Mbappe can take the number 9 shirt. This shirt has been vacant since Karim Benzema joined Al Ittihad last summer.
