Calciomercato reports that Manchester United is prepared to offer €50 million in the summer to sign Juventus defender Gleison Bremer.

Bremer has been connected to the Red Devils on few occasions in recent months, and they are anticipated to make a major investment in a star center-back.

According to Calciomercato, United is willing to bid €50 million to acquire the great Brazilian.

The center back is unlikely to “say no” to the Red Devils’ offer of a €10 million (or €192,000 per week) yearly wage.

If the Bianconeri are unable to approve any more significant sales this summer, they intend to hold out for at least €70 million.

Bremer shouldn’t have cost United more than necessary.Italian media sites have consistently connected Bremer with a transfer to Old Trafford.

Although there might be some merit to the transfer rumors, United shouldn’t overpay for him.

One of Serie A’s top center backs, the 27-year-old just inked a new contract with Juventus.

The Bianconeri are willing to sell him in spite of this since they need to balance their books.

Bremer’s all-around qualities make him a terrific addition. This term, he has completed 86% of his passes, averaging over four long balls.

He’s won 60% of his defensive duels and averages 1.6 tackles, 4.1 clearances, and 5.4 recoveries per game. This season, he has contributed to 15 clean sheets in Serie A.

At €50 million, he would be a sound investment. The legendary Juventus midfielder Sergio Brio has called Bremer “exceptional,” so United shouldn’t spend more than that for him.

During player deals, the club has been guilty of being kept hostage. In 2022, they overpaid to sign Antony from Ajax and Lisandro Martinez.

Last summer, it was the same. They spent a staggering €85 million to acquire Rasmus Hojlund. Atalanta persuaded United to make a significant expenditure in spite of his potential.

Subsequent transfer windows should steer clear of this. With better bargaining abilities, hopefully, Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his INEOS team can resolve this by summer.
