Dominik Szoboszlai Reveals Closest Friends in Liverpool Dressing Room

Dominik Szoboszlai, a midfielder for Liverpool, has disclosed which two teammates in the Reds’ starting lineup he gets along best. Since coming to Anfield in the summer of last year, the Hungarian international has developed into a vital player of the team.

Szoboszlai, 23, joined Liverpool in a $75 million (€70 million/£60 million) trade from RB Leipzig. Since then, he has started 25 Premier League games for the Reds. He has contributed three goals and two more assists from midfield throughout this time.

The former Bundesliga star appeared to be a key factor in Liverpool’s push for a historic quadruple this season, which would have marked Jürgen Klopp’s departure in style. However, a recurring hamstring injury kept the player out of the game for twelve games.

In addition to being forced to miss the Carabao Cup final, which the team went on to win, he was also restricted in his role as the Reds were eliminated from both the FA Cup and the Europa League.

Szoboszlai, who also faltered in the race for the title, has had time to think back on his first season on Merseyside and spoke with MLSZ TV as the season is almost ended. The midfield player disclosed the names of his two closest teammates over a year after joining the team. “It was Trent at the beginning, and it is him now,” he remarked.

However, now that I’m a member of the team, I can also claim that it’s Mohamed Salah. I can communicate with everyone since I’ve identified points of agreement with them. There aren’t many group activities, but when there are, everyone shows up and gets along well with one another.

In the last two games, Szoboszlai has only played nine minutes against Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United. His most recent start occurred against Everton, a local rival. Any dreams of a second Premier League title under Klopp were dashed when Liverpool lost the match 2-0.
