Casemiro just had what is considered the worst match since he joined Man Utd.
With the storm of injuries in the defense, coach Erik Ten Hag decided to pull Casemiro down to play center back.
Crystal Palace players seem to have studied Man Utd’s plan very carefully, so they strongly targeted the Brazilian player’s position.
In the first goal, Casemiro slipped and Crystal Palace players took full advantage of the opportunity.
Casemiro’s ability to compete was questioned when he let his opponent pass him 7 times in 90 minutes.
In the away team’s fourth goal, Casemiro had the ball taken by Daniel Muñoz right in his own half.
Casemiro is both slow and does not have the good spatial sense of a midfielder. He caused Man Utd’s inherently uncertain defense to constantly suffer face-to-face situations.
However, he had remarkable efforts with 7 successful tackles and 3 clearances.
Unfortunately, that is not enough to make up for the mistakes that Casemiro made. This is not the first match this midfielder has played poorly this season. Casemiro’s declining performance also led to unsatisfactory results for Man Utd.
Casemiro once put the ball into Palace’s net but the goal was not recognized.
This 0-4 defeat caused Ten Hag to face enormous pressure of being fired.
