Darwin Nunez fuels speculation over his Liverpool future as struggling striker deletes all Instagram photos related to the club

There has been mounting speculation that Darwin Nunez may leave Liverpool this summer, and the forward has deleted all of his Instagram images mentioning the club, suggesting that this may be the case.

There has been growing criticism of the £85 million striker for his lack of efficiency in scoring goals, and his season has been inconsistent overall.

Reds fans’ patience with the attacker has run out as their dreams of a fairytale ending for Jurgen Klopp have faded.

This recent move by Nunez has added fuel to the fire that Liverpool may want to trade for him this summer.

On his official Instagram page, the Uruguayan national eliminated all photos of himself playing for Liverpool.

A social media action by Darwin Nunez has increased concerns about his future with Liverpool.Photos of the striker with his family and during his time with Benfica and Uruguay are all that are left.

Reportedly, Nunez has been targeted by Barcelona as a possible replacement for Robert Lewandowski.

At the Estadi Montilivi, the renowned Polish striker scored a penalty in the first half of Xavi’s 4-2 loss to Girona on Saturday.

Xavi reportedly plans a summer reconstruction after falling short in the title bаttle, while Real Madrid were declared champions of LaLiga for a record-extending 36th time, all because they failed to gain three points.

Despite continuing financial issues, Lewandowski has remained one of Barça’s highest-earners since signing at the club in a £42.5 million trade from Bayern Munich in 2022.

The 35-year-old’s current contract has two more years left on it, but Barça will likely want to trade him this summer in order to meet the £175 million pay cap that LaLiga imposed earlier this season.

The Sun states that Barça are willing to pay Liverpool’s asking price for Uruguayan forward Raul Nunez because they believe he can step up to the plate. Even though Nunez is one of Liverpool’s highest-paid players, his salary—reported to be around £140,000 per week—would be far less than Lewandowski’s current salary.

Additionally, the player is reportedly content with his current status in Merseyside, although he has voiced a desire in donning the famous blue and red shirt in the future.
