As Jurgen Klopp gets ready to depart Liverpool, he has stated that he is not going to concentrate on his future plans.

After nine years in command, Klopp declared in January that he would be ending his tenure at Anfield at the end of the current campaign. The German had hoped for a successful conclusion to his tenure as manager.

However, Liverpool has not succeeded in winning the FA Cup, the Europa League, or the Premier League crown. There are only three games remaining under his reign, and Borussia Dortmund has been linked to him as their new head of football, igniting debate over his future.

However, Klopp is not going to accept those connections, stating that his intention is still to take a sabbatical from the game. With three games remaining, he is giving it his all to finish on a high note.

I have consistently stated that I am not ‘in that moment’ when it comes to concentrating on my own circumstances, and this remains mostly unaltered. Before the match against Tottenham, he stated in his program notes, “The time to reflect will come, but it is not now.”

However, it is undeniable that our next two home games will be my last as manager at Anfield, so let’s try to make the most of our time together. This means, to me, being together with our people and playing excellent football.

“And working together to do everything in our power to make Liverpool the amazing club that it is and Anfield the magical place that it is. The good news is that all we have to do is give it our all and be ourselves in order for this to occur.”

Liverpool has guaranteed their spot in the Champions League for the upcoming year. When the Reds meet the Spurs at Anfield on Sunday, they will be 15 points clear of them in fifth position. Klopp is eager to bring his team back to winning ways.

“It’s obvious that qualifying for the Champions League is a crucial goal—overcoming this specific obstacle. We would have preferred to have been in the Europa League for a longer period of time than we eventually were, but we still loved our season in it,” he continued.

However, we are all aware of the significance Champions League football holds for this team. Given where we were at the end of the previous season, it is beneficial not just for the future but also for the present and highlights the development that has been accomplished.

“We are aware that this is a goal shared by our opponents, too, and the fact that Tottenham is having this discussion in Ange Postecoglou’s first season as manager speaks volumes about the work he is doing there.

“I believe that everyone who has seen the Spurs this season would have been impressed with their style of play, and I most definitely fall into this group. They have a great team dynamic and are entertaining to watch, which is a winning combination.”
