It is possible that Manchester United will bring in a new coach for next season, and the name they are targeting is Thomas Tuchel.

Despite trying hard to build a squad capable of competing in the Premier League in his second season in charge, coach Erik ten Hag failed. The Old Trafford team in his hands plays extremely poorly and is unstable, as evidenced by the fact that they are only ranked 7th on the rankings. 

The future of the Dutch strategist is very unclear, because for a long time, Red Devils fans have always asked the club’s leadership to fire Ten Hag to bring in a better coach. Most likely, British billionaire Jim Ratcliffe will do this right after the current season ends.

Considering the current European aspect, Thomas Tuchel, who will also leave Bayern Munich this summer, is an extremely suitable candidate. He has experience in the Premier League when he led Chelsea, and is also highly appreciated for his ability to improvise tactics.

1. Goalkeeper and defense

 Andre Onana is Tuchel’s favorite goalkeeper.  Will Mason Mount reunite with Tuchel at Man United?  Bruno Fernandes will still be one of MU’s starters next season. 

Tuchel loves to use goalkeepers with good footwork to bring the ball up from the backline, so Andre Onana will definitely still be the Red Devils’ number one goalkeeper next season. In front of the Cameroonian international will be a steel shield made up of team members Lisandro Martinez and Ronald Araujo – who is being linked to moving to Old Trafford in this summer’s transfer window. 

Once in best shape, Luke Shaw is always the top left-back in the world, so there is no reason for Tuchel to leave the England international out of his main squad. On the opposite side, the former captain of Chelsea needs a new name with comprehensive offensive and defensive capabilities, and the person who meets that requirement well is Jeremie Frimpong. 

2. Midfield

Young talent Kobbie Mainoo is having an extremely sublime season as he shines in both Man United and the England team. A place in midfield in Tuchel’s starting lineup for Mainoo is out of the question. Pairing with a player born in 2005 will be Joao Palhinha, a player that the German strategist admires and wanted to bring him to Bayern Munich last summer. 

A name that seems to have been forgotten at Manchester United, but is expected to have a bright future when Thomas Tuchel arrives is Mason Mount. Remember when they both worked at Chelsea, Mount was an indispensable name in the 50-year-old coach’s starting lineup.

Because he has shown his talent recently as a key striker, Rasmus Hojlund will still be Manchester United’s “number 9” next season. Tuchel is also considered a coach who is very good with strikers, so he is expected to help the Danish striker explode.
