Clark has one goal and two assists in that time, including his first senior goal for the Reds in a 6-1 victory over Sparta Prague in the second leg of their Europa League last-16 encounter.

Clark also assisted Mohamed Salah against the Czech champions, as well as assisting up fellow youngster Lewis Koumas in a 3-0 FA Cup fifth-round win over Southampton.

Further achievements for the teenager to brag about include a 48-minute cameo in Liverpool’s EFL Cup final victory over Chelsea, as well as five Premier League games, one of which saw him start and play 60 minutes in a 1-0 win over Nottingham Forest in March.

Clark announces premature end of season.

The former Newcastle United youth signed a new long-term contract in December and has continued to progress with the Under-21s, playing the entire 90 minutes in a 2-0 loss to Arsenal last weekend.

However, on Wednesday afternoon, Clark posted on his X page that he had received an unidentified concern, which will keep him out for the rest of the campaign.

“Unfortunately, my season has ended early due to injury; time to focus on getting back fit for the new season @LFC ,” the England Under-20 international posted.

Clark’s injury means he will miss Liverpool’s final three Premier League games, the first of which is against Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield on May 5.

The struggling Reds will then have a full week to rest before traveling to Aston Villa on May 13 and hosting Wolverhampton Wanderers six days later in Klopp’s farewell game.

What other injuries have Liverpool been dealing with?

Clark is currently one of six occupied beds at Liverpool’s infirmary, and he is one of four players who will miss the rest of the season, including fellow adolescent Ben Doak (knee).

At the other end of the experience range, Joel Matip (knee) and Thiago Alcantara (muscle) have some distance to go before they can be considered totally healed, and both men are likely to play their final games for the Reds before their contracts expire in the summer.

However, both Conor Bradley (ankle) and Diogo Jota (hip) are expected to play again before the season ends, with the former possibly forcing his way back into contention for the visit of Tottenham.

Even with Clark out, Klopp has a strong midfield lineup that includes Wataru Endo, Curtis Jones, Dominik Szoboszlai, Harvey Elliott, Alexis Mac Allister, Ryan Gravenberch, and Stefan Bajcetic, who made his Premier League debut against West Ham United on Saturday.
