Bruno Fernandes Commends Kobbie Mainoo Following Victory Over Sheffield United

After Manchester United defeated Sheffield United 4-2 in the Premier League yesterday night, midfielder Kobbie Mainoo’s play delighted captain Bruno Fernandes of Manchester United.

The Red Devils were the overwhelming favorites to win going into the game. They were behind 2-1 in the second half, though, and had to work hard to win the game.

After tying the score with a penalty kick, Fernandes scored a stunning goal in the 81st minute. The Portuguese scored a spectacular goal outside the box with his left foot.

It was Mainoo who assisted on the goal. On his Instagram story following the win, Fernandes praised Mainoo for a “great assist” and said that Sheffield wasn’t the same as Mainoo.

Since making his Premier League debut for United in November of last year, the 18-year-old has developed into a vital player in the middle of the park for boss Erik ten Hag.

Over the past few months, the teenager has been a constant, leaving his imprint with some significant goals and strong individual performances from a variety of positions.

Mainoo completed 91% of his passes with 60 touches against the Blades. He finished all three of his attempted dribbles and won six ground duels.
