Following his departure from Old Trafford in the summer, former Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea has given an update on his future.
After 12 years with the team, De Gea left in June of last year after his £375,000-per-week contract ran out.
The Spaniard was voted player of the year and won five major awards during his time at United, including the Premier League in 2013. However, he has not found a new club ten months after leaving.
Given that De Gea, 33, was not selected by a major league team this season, some supporters may have wondered if he could retire. De Gea has promised to come back, though, in a social media message.

After his successor Andre Onana’s rough start at Old Trafford, De Gea was linked to a spectacular comeback to United in late 2023.
