David de Gea departed Manchester United over a year ago today. Was that the right choice to make?

That was definitely a daring one. After 545 games for the Red Devils, Erik ten Hag made the momentous decision to reject the club legend.

The Spanish player is still without a club. Rather, he’s been living life to the fullest and taking a much-needed vacation following some of the horrors he experienced in the vicinity of Old Trafford over the years.

He does, meanwhile, frequently stay in contact with a few players from Manchester United’s starting lineup.

Even after leaving Manchester United, De Gea has maintained a tight relationship with many members of the team. Specifically, he continues to have a close friendship with Bruno Fernandes, the club captain, and the two frequently hang together.

When Juan Mata isn’t in Japan, they also get out together, and they frequently message each other on social media.

Not surprisingly, in fact. Having spent more than ten years at Carrington, De Gea was essentially a fixture in the club. He became really close with many of the guys.

However, Alejandro Garnacho, a current Manchester United star, is someone he hardly ever played with for a season. It seems the two still get along well off the field in spite of this. or maybe all he wants to do is advertise his brand.

The brilliant Argentine tweeted a picture of his “Rebels Gaming” t-shirt that De Gea donated to the Manchester United wonderkid on his Instagram account.

Since Garnacho is an avid gamer, De Gea made the commercial decision to seize the chance for significant exposure. Bravo!

In December 2021, De Gea established Rebels Gaming, his foray into the eSports industry.

According to reports, De Gea feels that joining the eSports scene is a “dream come true” for him and that it will allow him to have a positive influence on youth.

David’s previous colleagues, Fernandes and Mata, have joined him in his business endeavors as stockholders.

It appears that De Gea has been occupied with this during his football vacation, which is beneficial for him!
