REAL WON: Man Utd legend David Beckham prevails in a £240 million court case against internet forgers peddling counterfeit items made of his apparel

In a £240 million legal bаttle, David Beckham defeated numerous online counterfeiters who were selling knockoffs of his designer clothing.

The 48-year-old former England star is a director of a company that sought up to £1.6 million from each of 150 online dealers who were making money off the racket, most of whom were in Asia.

The star’s most lucrative partnerships are managed by DB Ventures, which has filed a lawsuit in the US.

Documentation from the case reveals that the counterfeiters were selling on websites including Etsy, Amazon, and eBay.

There were footballs, shirts, shoes, posters, video games, eyewear, jewelry, watches, and perfumes and body care goods.

“Their sale poses a real threаt to DBV’s brand, and affects the sustainability of its business,” the complaint stated. It also has an impact on people and businesses who inadvertently buy them.

The brand of DBV is seriously threatened by their sale.

Grievances Regarding David Beckham’s Lawsuit

Becks received an asset freeze and temporary injunction last August. They are now permanent, according to the judge.

Additionally, DBV’s application for a default judgment against 44 of the defendants was granted by the court order, with an amount of £8,000 for each infringement.

The total award of £352,000 is far less than the £240 million that Becks’ team had requested from all 15 corporations put together. However, he will be happy that the counterfeiters have to stop making sales and forfeit their earnings.

DBV has engaged The Sladkus Law Group, trademark experts, to put an end to the dubious transactions.According to Partner Jeffrey Sladkus’ explanation in the petition, the sites were hard to find since they were never registered with the correct address or phone number.

The only way to stop them, he claimed, was to threаten legal action.

Becks and his spouse Victoria posted pictures of themselves at the gym over the weekend.

In the post shared with her 32 million fans, Victoria wore gray tracksuits while David flaunted his six-pack.

In jest, the former Spice Girl said, “Workout on Saturday with this fit guy! Thank you very much! Sending hugs.”
