As United’s dismal season draws to a close, rumors that Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS are considering changing managers and Erik ten Hag’s future are still circulating.

After 12 losses, 5 draws, and 15 victories, United is currently in seventh place in the Premier League under Ten Hag’s incredibly disappointing management. Now that Champions League participation is inevitable, the Red Devils will have to struggle to even play in the Europa League.

The club faces a serious risk of finishing out of the continental competitions entirely or finishing in the conference league the following season.

Ten Hag has stated time and time again that he sees himself in the Old Trafford bench for the upcoming season and that he and the new United co-owners are on the same page. His argument to stay under pressure, meanwhile, was rendered even less persuasive following the team’s dismal draw with Bournemouth on Saturday.

In another game, United was overwhelmed and outplayed by much weaker opposition. At the Vitality Stadium, the 20-time English champions were quite lucky to split the points.

Numerous players, including Julian Nagelsmann, Thiago Motta, Zinedine Zidane, Graham Potter, Gary O’Neil, Carlo Ancelotti, Roberto De Zerbi, Ruben Amorim, and of course Southgate, have already been connected to United as prospective Ten Hag successors.

According to a prior report, Southgate is Ratcliffe’s top pick to take over as manager in the event that Ten Hag is fired.

The Peoples Person went into great detail about why Southgate’s appointment would be a bad decision and how it would ruin INEOS’s tenure at the team.

In response to inquiries concerning potential transfer to United, the Three Lions manager called them impolite and declined to engage in conversation.

The fact that Southgate is still being seen as a strong contender for the United position, though, is concerning.

In an interview with Men In Blazers, Fabrizio Romano provided an update on the Southgate situation and whether or not INEOS had made any headway in that regard.

“There’s no contact between Gareth Southgate and Manchester United,” the Italian journalist stated.

“Southgate won’t quit managing United before the Euros to focus on his role as England’s manager.”

Although he did not state categorically that Southgate is not under consideration by the team, the fact that no discussions have been held with the 53-year-old coach is rather reassuring.
