Man United’s next generation: As the twin sons, 17, of one legend sign Old Trafford contracts,…

Jack and Tyler Fletcher, Darren Fletcher’s twin boys, have followed in his footsteps by agreeing to Manchester United’s professional contracts.

The youngsters signed a contract after reaching 17 years old. They had previously switched from rivals Man City in a £1.25 million move last summer.

As technical director for Erik ten Hag’s coaching staff, Darren, forty, is able to closely monitor Jack and Tyler’s development.Being midfielders, both of them are essentially direct descendants of their father Fletcher. Should they emulate their father’s level of achievement, United would have fulfilled the expectations of their family.

However, Fletcher is not the only former United player whose son aspires to be a professional athlete.

One of the most well-known names in football following father David’s incredibly successful time at Old Trafford, where he was a member of Sir Alex Ferguson’s legendary teams and won numerous titles.

Romeo Beckham, a 21-year-old player for Brentford’s B team, is the second son of David and Victoria. Romeo is an Arsenal supporter and a striker, in contrast to his father.

In fact, Romeo began his career in the Gunners’ development system with siblings Cruz and Brooklyn when, at the age of 19, he signed a contract to play for Inter Miami, an MLS team owned by David.

He gained a permanent contract at Brentford after making an impact on a six-month loan there, and he aims to eventually break through for the senior team.

Harvey Nevill

In an attempt to get into the professional ranks, the 21-year-old son of former England and United States star Phil Neville is presently playing for Portland Timbers 2, an MLS Next Pro team.

Harvey, a versatile player who can play in midfield or as a right-back, followed in his father’s footsteps by participating in United’s development teams and spending time with Valencia and Man City.

Harvey joined the Inter Miami first squad while Phil was still the team’s manager after signing with their linked reserve team, Fort Lauderdale.

Kai Rooney

Do you recall the nаme? Indeed, there is optimism that Kai, 14, may enjoy the same level of success as his father Wayne, United’s all-time top goalscorer.

Kai, like many gifted young players in the area, played for both United and City before deciding to play for United when his father came back to England in 2020 to coach Derby.

Naturally, when his son signed with United and Kai, a forward, broke the club’s under-12 season goalscoring record with 56, Rooney Sr. couldn’t contain his pride.

He scored a goal in United’s 2-0 victory over City to help them win the Under-13 National Cup North last year, and he already has a partnership with sportswear company Puma.

Even if Kai’s performance is only half that of Wayne, his career is still very bright.

JR., CRISTANO RONALDO

What enormous boots to fill!

Following in his father’s footsteps, Ronaldo’s eponymous son has attended the academies of Real Madrid, Juventus, Manchester United, and most recently Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia.

To revamp the galaxy of silverware, considerable work will be required. Despite all that 39-year-old Ronaldo Sr. has amassed over his incredible career, his son did just help Al-Nassr’s under-13 squad win the Premier League.

Furthermore, the fact that Ronaldo Jr. captained the team suggests that leadership traits may run in the family.

Even if his father’s accomplishments will put some pressure on him, the child is still young enough to enjoy playing football.

ARRON SCHOLES

A difficult person to emulate, considering the sheer brilliance of dad Paul, who spent two decades winning everything with United, amassing 718 appearances and 155 goals.

While working as a personal trainer, Arron played semi-professional football in the non-league for teams like Chadderton and Stalybridge Celtic.

The last time Scholes Jr. made headlines was in September, when he attacked United fans for cheering their team off the field after a crushing 1-0 loss to Crystal Palace.

CHARLIE SаVаGE

Similar to his father Robbie, the 20-year-old midfielder, presently plays for Reading in League One after leaving United last year. He also plays for the Wales national team.

Charlie attended Manchester Grammar School and progressed through the Old Trafford junior system. He was rewarded with his first-team debut in a 2021 Champions League match against Young Boys.

Sаvаge, however, signed a four-year contract with Reading last summer due to the congestion on the route to the United first team.

Despite playing frequently, Reading’s season has been volatile due to off-field cоnflict, as they have lost three points.

SHAQUEEL VAN PERSIE

After leaving Arsenal, Robin van Persie joined United and fulfilled his dream of winning the Premier League title.

His son Shaqueel, a forward at Feyenoord, is 17 years old and attempting to make an impression.

Before joining the same Dutch club where Robin began his career, he too was a member of Man City’s academy.

In November 2020, Feyenoord’s under-15 team defeated rivals Ajax with a spectacular bicycle kιck that made headlines. The following May 2022, he was rewarded with a three-year deal.
