The Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James’ older son, Bronny James, announced his candidacy for the 2024 NBA Draft on social media on Friday.

In order to preserve his eligibility if he chooses to return to college, the former guard for Southern California stated he will also use the NCAA transfer portal.

James will decide whether to become a professional by working out and meeting with NBA organizations. He can take his name out of consideration till June 16.

“I’ve had a year with some ups and downs but all added to growth for me as a man, student and athlete,” he stated. “I’ve decided to use my collegiate eligibility to enter the NBA Draft, and I’ll also be using the NCAA transfer portal.
