Liverpool Sets Premier League Possession Record in Victory Over Sheffield United

Liverpool made history during Thursday’s 3-1 triumph over Sheffield United, securing an all-time Premier League possession record. 

Under pressure to maintain their lead at the top of the standings after watching Arsenal and Manchester City secure victories, Jurgen Klopp’s side faced a resilient challenge from the bottom-placed team but ultimately emerged victorious at Anfield.

Despite being heavy favorites, Liverpool faced resistance from Sheffield United, with Darwin Nunez’s fortuitous goal providing an early lead before Conor Bradley’s own goal leveled the score. 

However, a spectacular strike from Alexis Mac Allister restored Liverpool’s advantage, followed by Cody Gakpo sealing maximum points in the final minute.
