LeBron James commented on Bronny James’ future, stating, “He has some tough decisions to make.”
LeBron James addressed reporters following the Lakers’ victory over the Raptors in Toronto, discussing his son Bronny’s future. He clarified that erroneous reports about Bronny entering the transfer portal had surfaced, stating that any speculation regarding Bronny’s future at USC was premature, according to sources familiar with the situation but not authorized to speak publicly.
LeBron emphasized that Bronny is his own person and faces tough decisions ahead, but when he’s ready to make them, he’ll inform everyone. LeBron affirmed that the family will support Bronny’s choices wholeheartedly.
During his debut season at USC, Bronny James participated in 25 games, averaging 4.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.1 assists. Despite starting six times, he played an average of 19.3 minutes per game.
Bronny’s return to the court occurred on December 10 after he experienced sudden cardiac arrest during a summer workout. Subsequently, he underwent a procedure for a congenital heart defect.
The USC basketball program faced further turmoil when head coach Andy Enfield departed for SMU earlier in the week. Following Enfield’s departure, USC’s top recruit, Trent Perry from Harvard-Westlake, de-committed from the program.
