For Stephen Curry, this summer will never be forgotten. It began with Curry guiding his Golden State Warriors to the top of the NBA mountain once more, taking home the MVP award for the Finals and the 2022 NBA Championship. Not long after, Curry and his family, along with other NBA players like Alex Caruso, traveled to Lake Tahoe for an exclusive celebrity golf event.
Steph managed to find time after everything to host the 2022 ESPYS, when he also took home two prizes, and to do a victory lap in front of the audience. Steph was joking around about LeBron James and the Boston Celtics at the occasion. This summer, he has been untouchable and is benefiting financially as well.
One of the highest-paid NBA players right now, Curry appears to have spent $2.1 million for a vacation house in Orlando, Florida, not too far from the Orlando Magic’s home arena.
In the Silicon Valley suburb of Atherton, Curry already owns a $31 million mansion. California’s Atherton is a suburb of San Francisco. Curry recently disclosed that he hopes to settle in San Francisco even after his career as a basketball player ends. The Golden State Warriors are San Francisco’s own club.
Given Florida’s reputation for having an abundance of golf courses, that may serve as motivation. When you’re a multimillionaire like Steph, it makes sense to have a vacation house across the nation, and it appears that the Curry family will not be using this one very often.
