Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah etched his name further into Premier League history with his crucial winner against Brighton, bringing his tally for the season to 16 goals and matching the illustrious achievements of Alan Shearer and Thierry Henry.

This feat also stands as the highest by any Liverpool player in the league since records began in 2003/04, and the most by a Premier League player since Zlatan Ibrahimovic in 2016.

Salah’s dominance against Brighton was further highlighted by his prolific goal contributions against them, surpassing all but two other clubs he has faced during his Liverpool tenure, namely Manchester City and Manchester United.
