In the early morning of March 27, the German team welcomed the Netherlands in an international friendly match in March.
Even though they had to be guests, the Dutch team entered the game confidently and scored an early opening goal. In the 4th minute, receiving a pass from Memphis Depay, Joey Veerman shot into the home team’s net, putting the Netherlands ahead.
However, the advantage in terms of score was not maintained by the “Orange Cyclone” for long. Just 7 minutes later, in a quick аttаck, defender Maximilian Mittelstadt stepped in and had a shot that went straight into the Dutch net from outside the penalty area, equalizing the score 1-1 for Germany.
In the following minutes, the two teams played an attractive аttаck with a series of opportunities created but no more goals were scored in the first half.
A similar situation was created in the second half when both Germany and the Netherlands played in a double аttаck, not afraid to tackle the opponent. However, each opportunity was missed by the strikers of both teams.
In the final minutes of the match, the German team put pressure on the Dutch team’s goal and made the away team’s defense unable to stand.
In the 85th minute, from a messy corner kιck, substitute striker Niclas Fullkrug skillfully put the ball into the net, increasing the score to 2-1 for Germany.
The remaining time is too little for the Dutch team to find an equalizer. In the end, Germany won 2-1 at home.
Thus, the Dutch team’s streak of 4 wins in the last 4 appearances was interrupted by the German team. “Tank” also ended the friendly match series in March with 2 impressive victories against France and the Netherlands to regain confidence after the previous 3 unwinnable matches (draw 1 and lose 2).
