It always seems like going back in time, and many fans will have been transported back to the days of Torres and Steven Gerrard’s partnership at Anfield.

They haven’t worn red together in a very long time, but on Saturday they spoilt us, and even the Spaniard could not contain his happiness at seeing his captain again.

Torres said on social media, “The best there is, the best there was… and the best there ever will be,” a tribute that fans adored despite some conflicting feelings!

On the day of the legends game, Dudek celebrated his 51st birthday, a day he stated he had “no words to describe.”

Ian Rush, however, saw no such issue, stating that “sometimes we have to pause and put things into perspective” due to the cause and Sven-Goran Eriksson’s attendance.

“The club continues to create memories that will last forever,” he said, praising the incredible support received today.
