During last night’s NBA In-Season Tournament game between the Utah Jazz and the Los Angeles Lakers, LeBron James became the first player in NBA history to score 39,000 points. It was a great night all around for King James — apart from setting another milestone, his Lakers pummeled the Jazz 131-99 to advance to the tournament’s quarterfinals and he even sported a special pair of shoes for the occasion. Those special shoes? A friends-and-family iteration of the UNKNWN x Nike LeBron 21.

A follow-up to the UNKNWN x LeBron 20 “Message in a Bottle” that was released earlier this year, this new take on the LeBron 21 offers up an earthy brown color scheme with bright contrast provided by pink Swoosh trim and speckled midsoles. There’s even a UNKNWN badge embroidered on the heel for a little extra branded flair. Performance-wise it appears to feature the standard LeBron 21 setup, namely a Cushlon midsole with a super-sized, bottom-loaded Zoom Air unit in the heel and a Zoom Turbo unit in the forefoot.

Currently, no information on the shoe’s colorway inspiration has been revealed. It’s unlikely to see a retail release as well, as it was created for LeBron and his inner circle. However, King James fans may want keep an eye on UNKNWN regardless, as the store may well have another LeBron 21 collaboration in the works.
