Boston Celtics Guard Jrue Holiday Dealing with Injury Concerns

Boston Celtics guard Jrue Holiday revealed to the Boston Globe on Friday that he is currently grappling with a “dead arm” injury. 

This setback has sidelined him since the Celtics’ victory over the Washington Wizards on March 17, with his return date remaining uncertain. The team is prioritizing rest as the primary treatment and is exercising caution as the regular season draws to a close.

Expressing his desire to return to action, Holiday emphasized the importance of maintaining rhythm on the court. Despite the injury, he remains optimistic about his recovery progress, highlighting his determination to contribute to the team’s success.

Celtics coach Joe Mazzulla provided reassurance regarding Holiday’s condition, noting that he is progressing positively and in good shape.

Holiday sustained the injury during the third quarter of the Celtics’ win over the Wizards when he collided with a screen from Richaun Holmes while guarding Jordan Poole. Although he attempted to continue playing, the immediate discomfort prompted his removal from the game, marking the beginning of his absence from the court.
