The Lakers’ victory was fueled by stellar performances from Anthony Davis and D’Angelo Russell.

Davis showcased his versatility by notching an impressive double-double with 23 points and 19 rebounds, while Russell made history by setting a new Lakers record for 3-pointers in a single season, surpassing Nick Van Exel’s previous record set during the 1994-95 season.

LeBron James contributed to the Lakers’ success with 20 points, eight rebounds, and six assists, playing a pivotal role in snapping the team’s losing streak against the Sixers, a streak that dated back to March 3, 2020.

Despite facing a gritty effort from Philadelphia, the Lakers demonstrated resilience, particularly in the fourth quarter, with James and Davis stepping up when needed most.
