On Monday, the Ivorian erased all Red Devils references from his X, Twitter, and Instagram profiles, raising questions.

Purging comes amid discontent for the 21-year-old, who has played a bit-part role under Erik ten Hag.After a good loan stint with Sunderland in the Championship last season, when he scored 14 goals and four assists, Diallo was expected to impress the Dutchman. 

Thus far, the winger has only appeared three times this season, all as a substitute. Two of them have came in the Premier League in 46 minutes after recovering from a pre-season knee ιnjury in December.

His bio on X, previously Twitter, reads ‘tout cela finira’, meaning ‘this will all finish’. 

He now explains his social-media clearout in a brief statement.

Diallo said on Snapchat to alleviate tension: ‘I’ve disabled my social media for a month to concentrate on Ramadan.

Stop the hatred—I did nothing wrong. This is holy month for me, and social media has horrible things to view when fasting.

Diallo was an unused substitute on Saturday as fellow winger Alejandro Garnacho won two penalties that Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford scored to give United a much-needed 2-0 Premier League win against Everton.
