The Moroccan midfielder has not met expectations since joining Man Utd.
Man United has encountered a lot of trouble since the beginning of the season. In fact, the Red Devils continue to show fluctuating performance.
There, Sofyan Amrabat was one of the players who played poorly. The Moroccan midfielder loves Man Utd. He did everything he could and patiently waited to go to Old Trafford in the summer of 2023 on loan.
However, spirit alone is not enough. Amrabat’s performance was clearly not too impressive. The Moroccan player’s slowness and positional awareness were not good and made Man United pay the price many times.

But Amrabat reminds fans of Wout Weghorst, nothing more, nothing less.
However, when he joined the team, Amrabat showed a different face. The Moroccan midfielder had a performance that was rated as quality in the opening match of the CAN Cup (African Cup of Nations), winning 3-0 against Tanzania.
Accordingly, he made 60 passes at Stade de San Pedro with 95% accuracy. Fiorentina’s loaned star completed 100% of long balls (6/6) while also winning 5 duels and making 3 tackles.
Amrabat only lost the ball three times. He really excelled with his tireless work rate and won the majority of duels. Unfortunately, Amrabat did not show such quality performance when joining Man Utd.
In the context of Casemiro’s imminent return, Amrabat may have to sit on the bench again. Furthermore, Man Utd is said to not buy this midfielder outright.
Obviously, Amrabat needs to achieve the same form as on the national team to hope to be retained by the Red Devils.
