The Jordan Brand has officially unveiled the second signature shoe for Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum, known as the Jordan Tatum 2. Set to debut in Spring 2024, this sneaker will come in two colorways: “Momma’s Boy” and “Vortex.”
The Jordan Tatum 2 is confirmed as the lightest signature performance shoe yet, featuring a low-cut design that blends foam and textile pods to provide stability for multidirectional movement. Tatum himself debuted the shoe on the court during the Christmas Day game between the Celtics and the Los Angeles Lakers. Throughout the design, Tatum-themed branding is prominent, with subtle details such as quotes and references to his relationship with his son, Deuce, including the phrase “Like Father, Like Son.”
Reflecting on his new signature shoe, Tatum expressed his commitment to constant improvement and evolution, emphasizing the effort and dedication put into its creation.
The “Momma’s Boy” colorway will be the first to release, featuring a white canvas upper adorned with outlines of lilies and volt accents highlighting the “JT” branding on the tongue and midsole. Following this, the “Vortex” pair will be released, boasting a mint foam-like colorway on the mesh upper with additional accents of lava glow and jade-key lime on the midsole.
Both colorways of the Jordan Tatum 2 will be available at select retailers and online at Nike, with “Momma’s Boy” set to release on March 5, 2024, followed by “Vortex” on April 4, 2024. The retail price for these sneakers will be $125 USD.
