Kobbie Mainoo is getting ready to extend his Manchester United contract, which will come with a sizable pay boost, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The current deal for this midfield player runs through 2026. Mainoo has solidified his place in the Man Utd lineup this season.
As a result, the young player’s pay will be commensurate with his new role on the squad, according to the Red Devils.
The midfield player has made significant development since making his Premier League debut in November of last year. Though Mainoo has not yet been called up, he has an opportunity to make the England squad for EURO 2024.
“Manchester United has opened negotiations with Kobbie Mainoo’s team about a new agreement since early February,” stated journalist Fabrizio Romano.
There is no need to rush because Mainoo is content at Man United and the team wants Kobbie to be one of the faces of the new initiative. Talks regarding a pay raise are still underway.”
According to The Sun, Mainoo has reached a personal agreement on a new long-term deal that will triple his present weekly pay of £20,000.
Mainoo can therefore benefit from a salary of up to 60,000 pounds.
