According to Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium, the great forward for the Los Angeles Lakers, LeBron James, will not be able to play in Thursday’s game against the Golden State Warriors while suffering from an ankle ailment.
In the beginning of this season, James was absent from the game because he needed to relax and because he had a sprained left ankle in January. During this season, the Lakers have a record of 4-3 when he is not in the lineup.
James, who is currently in his 21st season in the NBA, has not manifested any signs of slowing down. In addition to shooting 52 percent from the field and 39.5 percent from outside the arc, he is averaging 24.8 points, 7.8 assists, and 7.2 rebounds per game. The 30th of December marked his 39th birthday, but he is already doing better than the vast majority of the younger players in the league.
In spite of the fact that James has had an outstanding season, the Lakers have been a mediocre team that has had a difficult time maintaining consistency throughout the course of the year. With a record of 30-26, Los Angeles is now ranked ninth in the Western Conference. The club began the year with a lot of excitement after winning the In-Season Tournament Championship, but things quickly went apart, and they are currently in ninth place.
As a result of James’ absence from the lineup, the Lakers have decided to make star forward Anthony Davis their primary offensive option. One of the most productive players in the league on both sides of the court, the big man has been in good health for the majority of the year and has been the most productive player overall.
Furthermore, the absence of James would result in additional playing time for players such as Rui Hachimura.
