LeBron and AD Reach 29 Combined All-Star Appearances

On Sunday evening in Indianapolis, LeBron James and Anthony Davis took part in the NBA’s All-Star game, representing the Western Conference in a high-scoring affair that ended in a 211-186 victory for the East.

For LeBron, his appearance as a starter marked a record-breaking 20th time, a remarkable feat considering the rarity of such honors in the NBA. Since 2004, LeBron has graced every All-Star game, surpassing Lakers legends Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Kobe Bryant in total appearances.

Despite his illustrious history with the All-Star game, LeBron limited his playing time to 14 minutes, focusing perhaps more on the Lakers’ upcoming season. In that time, he contributed eight points, four rebounds, and three assists.

As for Davis, nine years LeBron’s junior, it was his ninth All-Star appearance, placing him among a select group of NBA players. With six points, eight rebounds, and eight assists in 23 minutes, Davis showcased his versatility while allowing his teammates to shine in a game that emphasized offensive prowess over defense.

With their All-Star commitments fulfilled, both LeBron and Davis will enjoy a well-deserved rest before returning to action as the regular season resumes on Thursday against Golden State.
