1. Goalkeeper Ray Clemence (1967-1981). Clemence played during the period when Liverpool won 5 Premier League titles and 3 European Cups.
2. Right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold (2016 – present). Arnold spent his entire playing career at The Kop with 298 appearances and 18 goals.
3. Center-back Virgil van Dijk (2018 – present). The Dutch international moved to Anfield for 75 million euros from Southampton and he contributed greatly to the Premier League title and subsequent Champions League.
4. Midfielder Alan Hansen (1977-1991). Hansen is the most successful Liverpool captain of all time with 8 Premier League championships.
5. Left back Steve Nicol (1981-1994). He played a key role in Liverpool’s dominance in the 1980s, winning the Football Writers’ Association Player of the Year award in 1989.
6. Right wing striker Mohamed Salah (2017 – present). The Egyptian star has scored 204 goals in 332 appearances for The Kop.
7. Central midfielder Graeme Souness (1978-1984). He had his incredible playing career at Anfield from 1978 to 1984, winning 15 titles.
8. Central midfielder Steven Gerrard (1998-2015). The former Liverpool captain spent 17 years at the club, making 710 appearances and scoring 186 goals and 157 assists.
9. Left winger John Barnes (1987-1997). The English player signed for Liverpool in 1987 and twice won the Player of the Year award from the English Football Journalists’ Association.
10. Center forward Ian Rush (1980-1987, 1988-1996). Liverpool have had great strikers over the years, but none can compare to Ian Rush’s time at Anfield, with 336 goals in 649 appearances.
11. Center striker Kenny Dalglish (1977-1990). He is one of the biggest symbols in Liverpool’s glorious history, with 164 goals and 162 assists in 502 appearances.
