MU entered the match with a very comfortable attitude when the opponent was only the 4th ranked team Newport County. As expected, the Red Devils took over the game right from the first minute.

Entering the second half, the shоck happened when Newport scored a 2-2 equalizer thanks to Evans in the 47th minute. Receiving a goal, MU attacked in search of a goal to take the lead.
